Dear Peril, I know it was frustrating. Sounds like a badly organised practical all round, and maybe a newly designed one? But as you say, your poster was great at the end of it all, so please remember this experience when dealing with future setbacks, whether in life or chemistry. You prove to yourself over and over again that indeed you are not stupid. Don't let yourself get so upset!

Definitely get the feedback out to the OU. Remind them that you are a teacher. I suspect that many of the OU tutors are not trained in how to teach.

The poster was not related to any of the experiments. It was something we'd had to do at home and bring with us.
My group tutor is a school chemistry teacher. I think sometimes she forgot she was teaching adults capable of making decisions for themselves and treated us like kiddies who needed to be shooed off to double French.
