I know. that's why it's so tempting to stay in state. but there is scholarship money out there, especially for tier 2 schools (2nd to ive league), if you look for it.

and you should be congratulating yourself, not me!!!! <3

You have a lot of potential as a writer. Heh I wouldn't mind at all co-writing stuff with you. You have clever ideas that should be put to paper.

If anything...

Double Major or just minor in writing and major in something else.

It's a whole lot easier to write something about your career (Psyche, business, etc.), than it is to compete in the world of "just writers."

what's wrong with a world of "just writers"? heh

Oh nothing is wrong with a world of "just writers" ...

It's just that it would be a whole lot easier on someone to have a steady career, and write then, instead of writing solely as a living.

Especially with the competition that exists amongst those that are trying to just be a "writer"

Writing can be a steady career. My major is writing, but I plan to make a steady career out of it by writing for t.v shows and hopefully one day writing a script and selling it to a movie company.

There are plenty of people who write as a steady career, including journalists and people who are apart of advertising. Someone has to write those commercials you see. heh. Even in animation, who writes the story? Or in video cames, who writes the main storyline?

You have a point, there is a lot of competition. And who knows if some writers will make it? But with every job (besides teaching) there is incredible competition. She'll have to face it if she goes into the psychology field or in the writing field.

Sorry, I'm just hasseling you. I don't mean to be annoying or callous or anything. heh. I'm just defending my stance as a writer. heh
