Tsuzuki had heard on the radio about the attack on Light. Sure, Light broke up with Lelouch, but he didn't deserve to be cut up like the radio said. He had to wonder who WOULD attack Light. And why? Could it have been Muraki

Light didn't remember being brought to the clinic and he barely remembered the doctor who'd sewn up the numerous cuts and stabs on his body. It had all been a painful blur until the right medicine had taken effect; now moments passed in a narcotic-induced daze.
He'd argued for the right to notify his parents himself and had finally been granted it, so when the door opened again, he had no idea who it could be. Had Ed heard about it and decided to visit him? It certainly wouldn't be Lelouch. When he saw who it was, Light scowled, even though the look tugged at the stitches in his cheek and eyebrow.
Tsuzuki gave him a weak smile, walking over to set down the sunflowers on the night stand. "Well, you're a fellow student, right? I was concerned, especially since you were so close to Lelouch-san." He said.
In addition to the ones on his face, bandages covered most of Light's arms and one thick one was visible at his collarbone, where the hospital gown didn't cover. He didn't react to seeing the flowers and hearing Lelouch's name only made him glare.
"Most people wouldn't come to check on their friend's ex. Whoever did this to me said it was because of what I did to Lelouch. But I didn't hurt him. It was time for us to go our own way." Whoever this man was, he did not need to know the truth.
Tsuzuki looked at Light in surprise. "You know who did it then?" He asked. It was an obvious deduction. It had to be someone who knew both Lelouch and Light to know Lelouch had been hurt by Light.
Light held no power over the dead and he didn't think that Lelouch did either. That meant that other people would have to make sure Muraki was no longer a threat. "Thank you for helping me figure out who did this, Tsuzuki. But right now I think I need more sleep. I would appreciate seeing Lelouch, if you could talk him into stopping by."
"I think...I should put up some protection first." Tsuzuki said, looking around, pulling out several slips of paper. "Muraki isn't known for leaving victims alive."
"All the more reason to put them up." Tsuzuki said. "He clearly wants to play and might hurt you some more." He said, putting up the Ofuda, saying the chant to activate the barrier.
