It wasn't a good bus ride. I just wish I knew how to make a situation like that better; maybe I could have called the police? Of course, I was sitting right in front of them, so that wouldn't have worked. If I'd moved, they'd have counted it as a win and probably gotten even worse. Ugh. Just... horrible, scary things.
wild and dangerous. I almost never travel by bus (there are NONE where I live) but I did in Vegas. Two of the bus drivers abused people for no reason and on the way back to the hotel we did have a racist rant (an African American man who was PISSED white tourists were on HIS bus) and he did try to start fights. The bus drive might as well have been a machine for all he did.
There's something about the enclosed space where you can't escape easily (or without being put out and definitely losing the situation) that increases the likelihood for this kind of thing, and it highlights just how unable to do anything about it the drivers are. I was at the back of the bus yesterday, and have never felt further away from the driver!, but I was in the very front seat when there was the situation with the man with the battery, and there was literally nothing the bus driver could do. It made me understand why the driver couldn't do anything in this situation, at least.
yes, it's a tough situation for the driver I'm sure. I'm just glad you're okay
here it's often the driver who causes the issues. We pay them ungodly sums of money to drive these buses. I'm not sure where it says bully all your passengers but...
