Please say I'm not the only one who gets goosebumps every time the Olympic theme song plays? The Opening Ceremony was spectacular.

Two of my favorite, swimming (Phelps vs. Lochte!!) and gymnastics, are on tonight. And we are ordering Chinese. So we can pretend that we are actually in

I seriously wanted to cry during the opening ceremony last night. Yao with that adorable little boy was about the cutest thing I've ever seen. Plus...the lighting of the cauldron = AWESOME. Holy crap. That was insane.

I WANNA COOOOOME! Haha! I woke up earlier to watch the trials. AND TO SEE PHELPS BREAK YET ANOTHER OLYMPIC MEDAL! -dances- I'm 'cited for gymnastics, even though we don't have the Hamm twins. :( THAT's depressing.

I love zee Olympics! :D

So how do you like this form of scoring we have for gymnastics <.< I hadn't gotten to see any gymnastics leading up to the Olympics lately so, until I saw an article about it, I hadn't realized that they've done away with the perfect 10. -.-

+ every time the Olympic theme song plays? The Opening Ceremony was spectacular. - Agreed! The Opening Ceremony was stunning. (It's almost hard to believe that many performers were completely synchronized & out on stage together.) It was one of my favourite Opening Ceremonies (a lot of them have been breath-taking but this one was so unique & surprising).

+ Phelps breaking that record earlier was amazing. :O He was so fast!!

+ How nice did James look in his Opening Ceremony USA outfit? And RAFA? LOL. (He was smiling the whole time. Aw.)

+ I like watching the swimming & the gymnastics as well. :D

It was so beautiful. I agree, it was one of the best Opening Ceremonies. The drums part was spectacular.

AHH! I know. The announcers were all worried that he was wearing himself out but...PSH. He's Michael PHELPS.

I know! They looked fab. And the camera just loved Rafa.

It was! And whoa the drumming was super intense & awesome. I love how they told them to smile more so they wouldn't be so intimidating. LOL. And then they would pan in on one of the drummer guy's faces & they would have a big smile on their face.

Pssh. I know! My mom & I didn't believe that crap at all. I mean, come on. Michael PHELPS would not wear himself out. Besides that was like the day before his actual medal swim. He just blew everybody else out of the water for the gold. (I was hoping Lochte would get the silver but he still did well.)

LOL. The camera did love Rafa. I wanted to see some of the other Spaniards too but ah, well. There can never be too much Rafa! ;)

PS. I want our gymnastics teams to do well! I'm really getting into the competition between the Chinese team, the Japanese team, & the USA team. It's amazing how good all three of these teams are. :O I love how we had to have two of our reserves on the main men's gymnast team. Underdogs ftw!

They really don't smile enough so I was happy they told them that. It was cute. The more I hear about the Opening Ceremony the less I like about it. I don't like that they had that 'cute' girl lip-syncing an then I heard about the conditions in which they made people train for the ceremony and was shocked. They were a little too hardcore. But I guess I can understand their want for it to be perfect.

LOL. Exactly. It's not like he is new to the sport of swimming or anything.

haha. Their can never be too much Spaniards as well. But I was happy to see Rafa in the spot light.

PS. AGREED!! Sasha & Raj! Dude. I was so happy for them. I actually wasn't sad when the Hamm's went down because I followed the trials and I really, really wanted Sasha & Raj to make the team so when they didn't I was sad. But it worked out great! Underdogs FTW for sure.

I would have liked to have seen Lochte get gold (because it must suck to live in Michael's shadow all the time) but I am totally happy with the Michael winning. Wheeee!!
