Omnivore made up for all of the mehness that was Demonology. Seriously, that episode was fantastic.
I don't even know where to begin.
Casually!Dressed!Hotch made me rawr loudly, earning me a big "lol" from my mom. Also of the awesome was his being kind but not absolving that cop for what he did, "I'll tell them you're sorry,". That's about as close to wishy-washy as Aaron Hotchner gets.
For the record, I want an Aaron Hotchner action figure. I wonder if he'd come with casual clothes or if he'd just have 3 suits and a thousand different ties? And, could they replicate his awesome toddler hair properly? Get on it, Mattel!
Um, Penelope wearing a bow that makes her look like Minnie Mouse made me "wtf?" to the point where we were talking over what I think was Hotch calling her "Penelope". Anyone? I MISS MY DVR ;_;
When the dude was standing over the guy changing his tire my mom burst out with, "I know who did it! Darth Vader!" and I'm not sure she was entirely joking ;-P
Reid sitting on Prentiss' desk talking with her & Morgan made me smile. As did every moment of him being uber-smart after that. When he talks like that, I burst into fangirly glee.
That cop's accent made me want to punch the television screen. Seriously, they need to STOP TRYING TO DO BOSTON ACCENTS ON TV. That was horrible. HORRIBLE. Mom said, "He should be shot." ...if she only knew. *lol*
Btw, Reid wearing THE purple shirt and his snappy black sweater vest is made of win. I didn't notice the pocket watch this week, tho. I will need to re-watch tomorrow night and watch closer.
Hotch & Rossi being together at night at the crime scene made me snicker. If you need Rossi after 8pm, just call Hotch's phone ^_~

"All that from one question mark? That's impressive," CRACKED ME UP. I was laughing to myself at how much of an old married couple they are. So freaking cute.
Did anyone else see the hot look that Reid gave Rossi during the profile briefing? Talk about smoldering, holy crap.
So, yeah, C. Thomas Howell? Looks so freaking old ;_; that's basically the thing that struck me most about his initial on-screen time. On top of "Foyett's a dead man walking."
Okay, I may or may not have felt really bad or the man, also. I totally didn't get him as the unsub. At all. *sigh* The only consolation is that he fooled Hotch AND Rossi too.
Um, for the record, Hotch said, "Hell" this week. Last week it was, "Ass"...he's kinda really hot when he curses.
At that point, I suspected a cop - specifically the blonde with the bad accent. Whoooops.
Fierce Hotch growling @ the unsub on the phone made me swoon just a tad. "I'll see you soon." Rawr~!
Holy crap, the entire bus scene had me wibbling and gushing and that could actually be the best scene of season 4. If it's not the best, than it's definitely in the top 3. HOTCH CRIED. Like, real tears, not just red eyes and inferred crying, HE CRIED. Aaron.Hotchner.Cried. And which teamie saw him cry? Rossi, of course. Did Aaron hide his tears? Nope. But did Dave tolerate Aaron blaming himself? NO. He offered Aaron his gun so he could off himself with Rossi's gun. "Here, take mine," *chuckles* Then, once he'd convinced Aaron it wasn't his fault, the ensuing interaction:
"It was a little dramatic,"
"My wife always said I had a flair for the dramatic,"
"Which one?"
"All of 'em,"
*cracks up* My mom, btw, asked, "Which one?" at the same time Hotch did then she looked ridiculously proud of herself.
Hotch/Rossi are so canon. If Aaron & Dave were any more obvious, they'd be having sex on Hotch's desk with the blinds open. Hopefully this week's AMAZING scene will inspire more geekystudmuffin A/D fic. I love that they have little interludes away from the team where they speak openly and honestly, that Rossi is the only one who sees Aaron's weaknesses. that Dave can talk Aaron "off of the ledge" so to speak and that Aaron can do the same for Dave. Morgan/Reid is my OTP but Aaron/Dave is a seriously becoming my #2 OTP. Just...YES. Ya know?
Shallowly? I loved the quick view of Hotch & Reid in kevlar driving at night. SO MUCH PRETTY.
Derek getting tackled is an unfair change of events. HE is supposed to do the tackling, not vice-versa! >.<
Mom gave me THE LOOK when it went to commercial break and Derek had a gun in his face. I kept telling her Shemar's contract isn't up, but she was still all nervous ;-P
I knew it wasn't Derek on the stretcher, I knew it was the cop. Mom snorted, "He should have been shot for that accent alone!"
Poor Derek. The bad dude left him with nothing but a bullet and the knowledge that he's not bulletproof, despite what he may have thought :-( Honestly? That may have bothered me as much as it bothered Derek. Honestly part 2? I half-wanted Emily to kiss his forhead in a motherly way. That will eat at him.
Oh, and, Reid & I would love it if Morgan would take his shirt off more often. He's so purty *_*
Honestly? Until they said it was him I didn't suspect him at all. Which is entirely stupid because it was one of those things that I should have figured out, but, yeah, I totally didn't. I thought he'd be the final victim... And, the entire time they were standing there talking him down I was screaming, "Shoot him, Aaron! Just shoot him!" because I'm a vengeful bitch.
And...lol...I may or may not have enjoyed Derek pulling his hair a little too much *cough*
The ending? Holy.Crap. I hated it because he has Derek's credentials and a grudge against the BAU, but it was still incredibly awesome. And yet. He has Derek's credentials. Derek isn't safe. That did not please me.
So, does C. Thomas Howell now become Hotch's "Frank" or Morgan's? O_o I mean, HE HAS MORGAN'S CREDENTIALS. That has GOT to come into play again, yes? They'll arrive as a sign that The Reaper hasn't gone away in Omnivore pt 2. RIGHT? They have to.
Oh oh oh, and BIG POINTS to Rossi for dropping a "Gideon" in his argument with Hotch over internalizing guilt.
I'm so excited to download this ep and put it on DVD to send to 24_centuries. By next week's episode, she should be all caught up! This means she will be able to read the CM drivel I write each week so I can stop feeling like I'm talking to myself ^____^
