Three years ago I wish I had sprung for "Mystery Science Theater 3000 The Movie" for $9.99 when I saw it at Target Or that I had bought every available copy I ever saw. Not only could I have watched the movie however many times I would've wanted to in that period, but now I'd be able to sell it at a 1300% mark-up, at least. There's a gently used ( Read more... )

Join Somethingawful and post your stuff for sale in SA-Mart. You can typically get $8-10 a pop for good DVDs and games, and its just a good well of selling things off without the hassle of creating ebay auctions or anything. I can guarantee you you'll have a buyer for the Anime, calculator, and possibly the books within one day.

It'd also let you and Janel browse without all the warnings and lameness of being lurkers, since you should both just be goons by now anyway. As an added bonus, I could then buy you Platinum or shiny avatars for christmas.

Or you could stop being a slave to those fags and just read your weekly dose of Phriday for free like everyone else.

The only thing keeping me from outright buying a SA account is that I don't know what to use as my username/avatar. Last time I bought an account ($10 and six weeks worth of lurking that I could've otherwise done for free) I chose a really lame username. I have to give good usernames time to grow, Gilgamesh and RadioactiveVomit didn't just pop up out of nowhere.

It's good to hear you're doing well, Grant. Good luck on the interview! ^_^

Man, I haven't even really thought about what it will be like going back to the states...well, other than not having mayo and corn on my pizza. How was the whole "reverse culture-shock" thing anyway?
