I worked for the DNC doing the same thing and it pretty much SUCKED. We also met around 10 am and I didn't get home until 10 to 11 pm every day. I'm not sure what PIRG does but we had quotas to meet that were pretty ridiculous. I couldn't keep the job because I couldn't meet the $120 a day quota, which is a lot harder than it sounds, especially when canvassing mostly lower middle class neighborhoods. But if you met that quota in your trial period they were stuck with you, so you could try getting someone you know to cut you a check if the rules work the same way. Good luck, it can be worth it if you do well and enjoy it.

You and I are good friends, Grant, but I'm sorry, I have to quote this and laugh hysterically:

"What I failed to realize is that "campaigning" for water conservation actually means that I go door to door asking people for money so they can become members of PIRG and therefore help the cause. In other words, solicitation."

Hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha

I can probably deal with having no soul for two months as long as I meet the quotas. If I don't then I'll certainly be looking for something else that has normal working hours.
