What has this world come to?

A student was attacked at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill for his sexuality. They broke his nose and gave him a concussion. He was followed down the street before being mauled while his attackers screamed at him using derogatory slurs and people stood by and let it happen

That's really saddening. I wish we lived in a world where everyone was tolerated but I don't think it's going to happen while all the countries are being run by racist, homophobic, fascists.
