So today was the last day. My internship is over. I was really sad. First off, I do not want to return to Fort Collins. Secondly, I had a hard time convincing myself it really was the last day. Thirdly, I know I'm going to miss everything about it. Especially the animals. Its hard saying goodbye to animals because they don't know that they' ( Read more... )

that sounds so sad!! I'm really envious of your contact with all those cute animals but it sounds like you had an awesome time. Any more pics of Salvador? He was the bee's knees!

hey! i know what you mean about saying bye to animals. it's so hard because you have no clue what the animal is thinking or even feeling and they can be so hard to read. i mean, this morning i was watching a show on animal planet about a little polar bear growing up in the zoo that was orphaned by it's mother. i found myself crying along with the zookeepers when they finally took it to it's rehabilitation center. i just get too emotionally involved sometimes.

but i know you'll never forget what an awesome time you've had this summer working with those animals. :)

hallo! who are you? Well actually I don't really agree b/c I don't think that the animals have any idea of knowing its my last time working with them. I'm pretty sure they all had no idea by the way they acted. They just acted normal just wanting more food and sniffing at my feet or in the marmoset's case, my face, hehe. I just wonder if when I stop showing up will they really miss me or not and wonder why I don't come anymore.

Acara, a baby orangutan at our zoo was abandoned by her mother at birth and she is being hand-raised and she loves it! She is very spoiled indeed and very cute.

Hi my friend and I just started a Harry Potter sorting community and it would be awesome if you would consider joining! Since we just started, our community is not totally up in running (as in no layout), but we're getting ready to go! I looked around your journal and saw nothing against promoting communities, so I hope it’s okay! If not, please just disregard this! Thanks a lot!
