(no subject)
Wrote this a week ago when our internet was down and I didn't know it. And then it was down the entire weekend, lol. But here it is:
So much has happened since I last wrote in here. 2 weeks. So school has been a killer. I failed my first organic chemistry test. I really wasn’t that surprised. I knew the moment I looked over all the questions I was going to fail it. The thing is I wasn’t sure how to go about studying and didn’t feel like figuring it out so I really didn’t study well at all. That was a big mistake but maybe that’s what I had to do to get into the groove of the class. I’ve figured out all my mistakes by going to office hours so maybe I’ll do better next time. I am going to try and work really hard in this class!!! I’m determined.
Another thing is I have really worked on my time management and think I have finally found a way to balance my time between my friends here at Theta, my friends at church, my schoolwork, and the raptor center. I’ve been cutting back the raptor center just a smidge but I think its worth it. I’m really excited I was able to find a happy medium because I was really worried I wouldn’t have time for my friends at church and I really feel like God is calling me to draw closer with them, especially certain ones…
I even found time to hang out with Katie, my roommate from last year, last weekend!! I found out Howl’s Moving Castle, the latest Miyazaki film, was playing at a theater here in town and of course HAD to go. It played at Jordan Commons where I worked this summer but I never took the time to go and kept putting it off until all of a sudden it no longer was playing in the theater so I missed my chance. But here it is in Fort Collins I just HAD to go. And I did! I called up Katie after church last Sunday and we skipped over there and IT WAS AMAZING. No, seriously, it was the BEST Miyazaki film I have ever seen and I have seen almost all his films and have loved them. It was so beautifully done, so imaginative, and being his first love story, it was done soooo romantically beautiful!!! I cannot wait to buy it when it comes out on DVD. It’s so mine. If you are looking for a good movie, I highly recommend it.
Yet I have heard that Just Like Heaven is really good. My sorority sister saw it tonight and came back raving. I was severely jealous because I really want to see it. Hopefully I’ll find a time this weekend.
I’ve been trying to really get to know my little kite Jessica too and she’s so shy but so nice. I’ve been trying SOOO hard to open her up and I was afraid since she wasn’t talking that much that she didn’t care but she left a message on my facebook to tell me that I am the best big kite ever and she is so excited to be a Theta and be my friend. It just made me so happy!!! She is a sweetheart!!!
I do have so much more to write but it is late and I am tired. Goodnight.
So I'm sick. I've been sick since Wednesday and its been horrible. Yesterday was the worst though. I spelt for maybe 3 hours and then had to get up to go to lab because I couldn't make that up and then all day my nose was running like a fountain. I had to have used an entire tree in tissues. Then I tried to sleep last night and I failed once again. Maybe 4-5 hours at most. And all restless sleep. I'm so tired but worried about going to sleep because I figure I probably won't sleep that much. And the restless sleep is annoying because my head is full of crap and I think too much and its frusterating and weird.
There is stuff I want to write about from this week but right now I'm too tired to do so... Goodnight and hope everyone is doing well.
