Hi secret vidder! I'm super excited you're going to make me a vid in spaaaaaaace \o/ You already have all my flaily thoughts and feelings from my sign-up, but as everyone else is doing a letter I thought I'd put them here too for reference:
Doctor Who
The Doctor/River Song, Amy Pond/Rory Williams, Ninth Doctor/Jack Harkness/Rose Tyler, River Song, Clara Oswin Oswald, Amy Pond, Martha Jones, Donna Noble, The Doctor generally
We've seen the whole of River's story now - from her birth to her death to her reappearance as a memory after her death. We've seen it in every order. There are some really beautiful Doctor/River vids out there, but mostly from S5 and 6. I would love a vid that encompasses their whole relationship, in all its timey-wimey glory.
If Doctor/River isn't your thing, honestly I just love ALL of the Doctors and ALL of the companions, and all of the canon relationships! Also Nine/Jack/Rose as an OT3, if you're feeling like 2005 is where it's at. An overview of Clara Oswald's arc would be great (CLARAAAAAA) or a multi-Doctor vid exploring some aspect of his personality (or the Time War? I'd love something all about the Time War and the Time Lords!) I have specifically requested New!Who as that's what I'm most familiar with, but if you're doing a multi-Doctor or multi-Companion vid, please feel free to use all the Classic Who too, if you want to! I have seen a lot of it, I just don't know it as well.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Jadzia Dax, Dax & Benjamin Sisko, Benjamin Sisko/Kasidy Yates, Benjamin Sisko & Jake Sisko, Julian Bashir
I would love a Jadzia character study vid! There are some great DS9 vids out there, but I've never seen a vid that truly explores Jadzia's character. I particularly love her relationship with Sisko, her friendship with Julian and Kira, and her romance with Worf. But I'd love to see something that explores her sense of self - her experience as a Trill, her growing confidence and humour, her place on DS9. Or if you do want to focus on her relationship with another character, I'd love to see something about her and Sisko, bffs through lifetimes <3
OR I would loooooove a Sisko family vid! They are one of my VERY FAVOURITE SPACE FAMILIES and I love them *so* much. A vid about Ben and Jake and Kasidy and Joseph would be AMAAAAAZING.
Alternatively, if you'd rather just focus on Ben Sisko, I have a *lot* of feelings about DS9 and Hamilton (see here) and so if you feel like you can put those two great things together in any way, I support that choice.
I also have a *lot* of feelings about Julian Bashir :-)
OR finally, if you're more a wacky-comedy-vid sort of person, I would absolutely love a vid about Sisko and his many nemeses! Omg these books! I have NO IDEA how you would vid them, so kudos to you if you've offered. I'd love whatever you feel you can make - an overview trailer for the books as a film/tv series, or a character/relationship study vid about Aral and Cordelia, or about Miles (oh, Miles). Anything would be amazing. I have no headcanon actors for any of these characters, so go ahead with whoever you think works.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Bodhi Rook, Jyn Erso, Cassian Andor, Chirrut Îmwe/Baze Malbus
A theme that struck home for me about this film, particularly right now in this hellish timeline we're living in, is how you can't defeat the system on your own. But you keep fighting anyway, and do whatever small thing you can, in the hope that your actions will form part of a larger whole. A vid about Jyn - and Bodhi! - coming to this realisation would be great.

SPACE ENGINEERS! It's really fucking hard being a space engineer. You have so many conversations that go along the lines of:
CAPTAIN: How soon can you get this fixed??
ENGINEER: Well, if I have a multiphasic laser spanner I think I can get it done inside ten hours-
CAPTAIN: You have five minutes and this elastic band. GO GO GO!
ENGINEER: ....*facepalm*
A vid about the hard lives of the likes of Rodney McKay (ok, he's not really an engineer, but he fits the bill), Kaylee Frye, Miles O'Brien, B'Elanna Torres, and all the other put-upon space engineers out there would be great!
