So it has been exactly four (4) weeks since Good Omens graced our screens, and I, um, have made TWO vids for it already??
Obviously, I am usually lovingly obsessed with *something*. That's part of being a fan. It's what we *do*. And I usually have some sort of emotional hangover after consuming media I love, and it has prompted me to make over 40 vids by this point. But this kind of really sustained inability to think about anything outside of That One Thing, for weeks and weeks on end, is really...something. The last time I really lost my fucking mind like this was over Hamilton, back in October 2015. It's also happened over Doctor Who at various points (most especially during the Ponds and Clara eras), over SGA back in the days I was first getting into Fandom, over Robin Hobb's Farseer series (about which I have written emails amounting to...over 40k words of feels /o\) and Scott Lynch's Gentleman Bastards series (about which I have written a LITERAL ESSAY purely for my own amusement). And Harry Potter, of course. Buffy, for a while. DS9.
But I was NOT EXPECTING Good Omens. I was NOT EXPECTING to spend a MONTH listening to fucking QUEEN on repeat. I was NOT. And yet. And yet HERE WE ARE, friends, and I have made TWO VIDS in a MONTH and I don't know what to do any more.
And you know what?? I have more vid ideas! More! SO MANY OF THEM ARE TO QUEEN. (Many of them are also NOT to Queen, and some of those not-Queen ideas are to songs that have already been vidded very successfully by people on YouTube, so I am sorting out my feelings about that and figuring out whether to make them anyway). But, I just, the only other shows I have vidded more than twice are Doctor Who and Star Trek - both huge, multi-series epics with hundreds of episodes spanning literal decades. This is a 5.5 hour miniseries, and I have barely scratched the surface of the vids I want to make. What the fuck guys, why is this happening.
(I love it)
ANYWAY, shut up Phoebe. Here's a vid about Anathema Device, Agnes Nutter and The Book. It came to me in a flash as I crossed the road listening to Queen, the day before the show actually aired, and I started laughing a bit hysterically to myself in the street. If you are thinking, 'Phoebe, did you make a WHOLE VID just because of one (1) absurdly ridiculous lyric match?' you would be...entirely correct. I never thought I would love the show enough to actually make this. But apparently I do. I also have a newfound appreciation for Adria Arjona's meticulous acting choices, and also for her face.
Thank you to all the lovely people who have said nice and helpful things to me about this and/or reassured me that it is not terrible -
