Sick puppies

Last night when we all got back from my brother's birthday dinner, we found that the dogs had gotten into the pantry and helped themselves to 3 ounces of baking chocolate.  My dad took them both to the emergency vet, who told us that this amount is half the lethal dose for dogs, and without treatment, half the dogs who eat this amount would die.
