I use custom friends groups - I just seperate my real life friends from my online friends, and then my closer online friends from ones I've only recently met. All of the Lost people see everything I think.

Mainly I use them to filter my friends page so I can just see communities related to certain things (just fic, just Lost, just Heroes etc.) But that's because I have a lot of those.

I have one custom group, and that's for people who have had trouble with the same thing I have. It's not something I can talk about with everyone on my F-list, because they just don't understand or haven't been through it

Aww, I don't think you're "no good at advice". This one thing was just too personal and it's a *specific* type of advice for something you haven't experienced yet... and I don't meant that to sound exclusive, cause trust me, you don't want to be in THIS club. LOL!

I've never done a searious friends cut. I just cut people who don't comment, who I never comment to, and random communities.
And of course I want to stay!♥ What would I do without the short posts of abby!?

I don't use a custom friends group. I think it's lame to do it. I mean, if you have a "friend" list, why would you do an entry for only a couple of people? I prefer to be cut than to be left out, really.
Being left out is not cool, especially if it's from someone who you don't think would do it.

I'm not crazy about using the LJ cut either but if my post is long or has alot of pictures, I try to use it just to be courteous to my readers. :) This is not too long though, you didn't need the cut. :D
