Who wants to come to gigs with me?

So I've finally given into Spotify. I thought I'd try it and have discovered that it actually does loads of stuff that is really useful for me, it's just that Mr bigr0d uses it in a very different way to the way I do.  So now that I'm finally entering the age of digital music properly (about 10 years late, ah well) and it has awesome add ins like a last. Well I have tickets to the first too. Placebo is out for me due to Whitby, sadly.

I will be at the ATP thing, probably for two out of the three days

Not likely to be at many of the others, but Adam certainly will be!

Good list:

- Mastodon/DEP: I too have too many plans that day, which is a bummer. As both bands are awesome live.
- PWEI: I'd forgotten about that. Plan is to intend (it is also Thursday, rather than Friday - which is good as Rammstein is the Friday, and our party Saturday!)
- Electric Wizard: I've seen them before, and they were immense. So I really should get it together for this.
- Desertfest: going to pass on this one (never did like KtB or CoC particularly)
- Skindred/Therapy?: already have my ticket for this.
- Placebo: saw them about twelve times in the 90s, but also at Whitby...
- ATP: Certainly going to all of this if I can still get a ticket at the end of the month...

Right, I have now got tickets for:
PWEI, Electric Wizard, Skindred and ATP.

Let me know if you decide to go to Electric Wizard so I don't have to deal with the beardy stoners on my own.

I think the screened comment below (not sure why it's screened, but have not replied accordingly) may sort out the date confusion.

Yeah, sorry - I thought PWEI was Feb rather than the March date it actually is.

EW - will do. It's likely I will attend that, I think, but I'll need to confirm my diary at some point...

I think nearly_everyone is doing the Therapy/Skindred gig because it's only £5.

Top work, because they really are both ACE live. It doesn't matter if you don't know Skindred's music at all; the energy at the gigs is so huge and infectious that you get right into it anyway, and actually I've found the recordings to fall a bit flat by comparison.

I've seen Therapy? And I know Skindred have a great live reputation, it's also extra cheap. Nothing to lose.

Pity you don't live here now I've found a doom/stoner fest to go to. Let me know of you decide youto visit for it ;)

I'm annoyed it only just occurred to me that you now actually live in the right country for Roadburn, which of course sold out in 7 minutes last November. Maybe next year?
