Excellent weekend

Jan 27, 2008 00:35

This weekend has been far too nice. I went to Betty Ford Clinic, which was good, but not busy enough. I had an actual chat with emmavescence which was good as I was in a terrible mood the first time I met her and felt bad ( Read more... )

Yep. Maybe I should try and herd everyone to girlie dinners every now and then. I do get bored of talking to boys all the time :D :D

It was lovely to talk to you again! I wasn't in the best frame of mind for meeting lots of people when we first met either, so meeting again when both were happy was good :) I managed to escape without being mauled any further, you'll be pleased to know! I think Andy plans to defend my honour if it happens again, so the bloke had better look out.

I went to see Sweeney Todd yesterday too, with a handful of gothishs. I rather enjoyed it, despite being fervently anti-musical. Johnny was very pretty except in the last few scenes, and Helena wasn't bad either. Yes, I am that shallow. I didn't really know the story of Sweeney Todd very well and the end was sad.

If only you'd come to the same one (at least I hope you went to a different one, otherwise I'd feel very silly for not speaking to you!

It was very sad, I wanted the boy and girl to run off into the sunset together.

It was very pretty though. Too much blood for my tastes, however.

And I'm sure your honour will be fine, just kick him in the balls if her tries it again :D :D

We went to the Vue in Islington, which was part of a pre-planned thing as someone named Rin was having a birthday. Where did you go? I definitely didn't see a great hoard of goths, so it's safe to assume a different viewing!

And yes, agreed at the ending. I had to look away at some of the throat slitting/blood spurting moments, though it was clearly not real and more stylised and Kill Bill-like than it was completely true to life, which helped.

And yes, I can definitely stand up for myself (well, it's sometimes hard when the line gets fuzzy between being friendly and being overly friendly. Much easier if they're just straight up rude and lechy), but I think Andy wants to get in on the ball-kicking too :p

I've just noticed how repetitive this comment is, sorry! I'm writing it at work and tabbing away quite often because I should probably not be on LJ... They're not giving me things to do though!

Ah no, we all went to the Barbican. It was with the London Goth Meetup group. Next time, you should ensure that you join the group event, it's good fun :D

Haven't seen Kill Bill, but yes indeedy, it was very stylised, still too much for me though by the end.

Well maybe we'll all have to take turns ball kicking, might provide a bit of light entertainment or something!

LJ is great for when you're not busy at work, so don't worry. If you don't have work to do then they REALLY can't tell you off. Did you get the permanent job sorted, by the way?
