crunch time

i'm sooo bad at crunch time--the end of the semester. for some reason i just fall apart every time it comes around, which, considering this is the um...11th year that i've been in higher ed. (holy shit!), is fairly often. today i have sooo much work to accomplish, but i just can't focus. i haven't been able to make myself start grading papers,

that made me laugh:) i would love to see that list. you know i just finished reading dish it up, baby, which i have totally mixed feelings about, but that is beside the point...in the book, the main character does this thing where she wears lipstick/doesn't wear lipstick, cooks/doesn't cook, wears skirts/doesn't wear skirts, etc.. all to kind of try and find out who and what she really is, so now this character can say with certainty--i hate to cook--and, more importantly, she can be OKAY with it. it's good to know these things about ourselves.

i too love lists. remember how i once told you about that mag--to do list? well, it recently folded:(
