At the end of each day I have been finding lint in my bellybutton. Lint. In my belly button. Which means I'm one step closer to becoming my father. It is amazing how someone who grew up 10,000 miles away in one of the largest cities in the world in a culture about as dissimilar for the mine as possible can turn out so similar to this poor ol’ boy for small town California.

You know, all in all I’d say I’ve had a pretty good life.

After a discussion with my friendly Ethiopian cab driver, and circumstances being as they were, the cab dropped me off ways from my house. The first ¾ of a mile was pleasant.
