I was gonna update this with much happier stuff, but for the past week I've just been so enraged with LJ's asshattery that I've had it to here.

In case you didn't know, on 12/12 ( Read more... )

I went over to dreamwidth and used their 'view random journal function'.

On the first try I got a domain squatter whose only message on her journal site was that s/he had signed up for a bunch of names of characters she thought people might be interesting in role-playing and if they wanted to use those names they could buy them from her.

The second one was an emo teenager posting about her life. Pretty normal stuff, but a bit outside my age range.

The third one seemed to be a male prostitute advertising his services (on the public level all images were clothed).

:\

If this is a representative sample I'm not sure their usual 'ability to sign up by invitation only' strategy has worked out well for them.

I'm not, no. I'm not sure I would move over, to be honest - I'd probably just stay on LJ, despite the recent changes. They don't fuss me much, although the 'we're gonna change stuff no matter what you say' policy is a bit worrying. Depends what other insults they offer, I guess.
