I'm back! I can't believe I'm home already although, after 18 hours of flying it was a relief to touch down in Perth. I got up today at quarter to 1 in the afternoon! Unheard of since I was about 18.

 Had the medical for the bus driver position this morning (including giving a 'supervised urine sample!). So, now I just have to wait until training starts... 
Of course, to satisfy Centrelink, I still have to put in job applications ...

I spent yesterday (Sunday) bundled up on the lounge feeling lousy with a severe head cold (or maybe it was flu - I can't tell the difference, but I did have a bit of a temperature, I think). I didn't get up to have a shower until 3pm which revitalised me enough to go outside and water the potplants, then straight back onto the lounge. I am a little ( Read more... )

At the interview yesterday, they typed up an offer of employment for me straight away! :-) I'm booked into their training course starting on 23rd June (can't do it before that because of being away for 2 weeks). Interview at noon today...

I've heard nothing yet. Two days of waiting ... and I'm starting to feel particularly unwanted! :-( 

Been to the Doc today for the big tick re: medical assessment for bus driving. Tick duly given; form duly faxed. Now I just wait for notification from Dept. of Infastructure & Planning that 'F' endorsement has been added to my licence. At the same time as waiting for contact from the bus company...
*sigh*

Just as well I checked the night before because the open day was at the Joondalup depot, not Malaga! Anyway ... along I went and had a chat with a female employee who had driven busses for three years before moving into admin. Then I had a drive of a bus :-D just around the depot. WOOHOO what fun.
