This all started when I was reading the dictionary definition of "cosmos." This one felt slashy to me but that never panned out and by the end I was disappointed that it hadn't.

Sailor Cosmos fought the Eternal War.
Once, well twice, she had fought Sailor Galaxia in the Sailor War. The Sailor War, how long ago it seemed now. Galaxia, strongest senshi in the galaxy, so weak. A single galaxy, so small. Once she had ruled a single planet. She didn’t remember much about it, how much could there be on one planet to capture the attention? But she remembered she had been a mother and that was important as the war rolled on and that which Chaos had destroyed needed to be rebuilt into something.
Fighting the Eternal War was no longer something she did but who she was. She thought that once things had been different, but the war had changed her, made her the opposite of that which she fought. Cosmos. Not just a word for everything but a word for everything in its proper ordered cycles and systems.
Entropy always increased. Everyday Chaos grew stronger and she weaker. Order was loosing.
She was stuck in a stable time loop, trying to stop herself in the past but in the process creating her future. Should she go back in time and stop herself from going back to stop herself?
But Sailor Moon gave her hope. And Sailor Moon, lazy, clumsy Sailor Moon, reminded her that she hadn’t always been Order and maybe that had been a good thing.
“Sailor Cosmos. Still you try to destroy the Galactic Cauldron. Don’t you understand that if you destroy it, you may destroy me but nothing new will ever be again?”
“Sailor Chaos. I do understand, but you’re wrong. I have not come here to try to destroy it this time. I’ve come here because this is the place of beginning.”
“What do you want?”
“Don’t you understand that if you win, everything will become more and more chaotic until everything is waste heat and nothing every moves or does anything again until it all fades into nothingness?”
“So you propose the Eternal War should truly be stretched eternally?”
“I have been many things in the past. Princess Serenity, Tsukino Usagi, Sailor Moon, Neo-Queen Serenity, Sailor Cosmos. Now it is time to change again.”
“Order can’t change. That’s your weakness.”
“That’s why I need you. Take my hand and you will cease to be Sailor Chaos and I will cease to be Sailor Cosmos and we will become something more.”
“Is this how the Eternal War ends?” All the same, a dark hand inched towards her own.
“This is an ending but also a beginning.”
“Of what?” The hand closed on hers. The opposites of Order and Chaos, Good and Evil, Light and Dark, Life and Death became one.
“Everything,” said Sailor Universe.
