He wanted to ignore her, but that wouldn’t have been polite. “Yes Kusajishi-fukutaichou?”
Yachiru loaded up his arms with candy, stuffing stray pieces into his mouth.
Renji shot him a pitying look, having seen Byakuya stuff sweets into Yachiru’s mouth to silence her often enough.
“Kira-chan should be happy.”
“I am happy.”
“You don’t look happy.”
“You just can’t see how happy he is through the hair,” Renji suggested.
“Oh, Kira-chan needs a face.”
Yachiru jumped him and started to pull. Kira blinked in pain at the sudden brightness before shutting his eyes and going a mournful moan as Yachiru had her way with him.
Renji snickered and Kira sighed at Yachiru’s broad smile as he saw his reflection in her bright eyes-blonde hair all tied up with frilly pink ribbons.
