This prompt was originally appended with "points with Fiore", so I always felt obligated to write that for this. (I'm not sure if I've ever even seen that movie all the way through.)

“We’ll never go back there. They brought you nothing but pain there,” Fiore would tell him. Mamoru hardly remembered the planet where he had been born, so while he didn’t argue, he had no strong feelings on the subject one way or another.
Time passed. It was hard to keep track without the cycle of a planet around a sun and felt pointless to do so. They grew taller, stronger, faster.
They met two others, the lastborn of Fiore’s race, and proximity to the Hell Tree improved Fiore’s color. Mamoru was reluctant to leave for the sake of his health, but Fiore was reluctant to share his beloved’s attention and was easily annoyed by the wide-eyed and curious children. In the end, they took a flower from the tree, which became a fruit, which became a sapling.
They got occasional news: Galaxia’s taken Mau, Galaxia’s taken Kinmoku, Galaxia’s taken Earth, but less often as their comet left the plane of the galactic disk at many times the speed of light for the void between galaxies. They had no reason to care what was going on back there anyway. There was only each other.
