Written while in transit from Tampa to Houston (one of three on that plane ride, plus two others while in the Tampa airport). I learned all kinds of interesting things--never fly with a cold and a stuffed-up nose. Your ears will not despressurize correctly, so you'll have this extremely painful bubble of air trapped in one ear while your mother runs around trying to find your shuttle in an unfamiliar airport while you're not just tired and sick but completely deaf in one ear and are still trying to stop the nosebleed that came on from trying to blow your nose enough to get rid of the air bubble.
We did get home eventually.

He was running away.
The words beat into Mamoru’s head, berating him unbearably. He had no answer to them so there was nothing to relieve the pounding in his mind.
He had to keep Usagi from destroying the world. He had to protect Hina, his sister.
He had to get away from the phantom piano and the white-haired man who played it, who reached out from him and called him “Master”.
He had to get away from that thing Ichiou Shin had turned into before his eyes. He stared out the window of the plane, but reflected in the glass he saw that day in the strange mansion Kamekichi had disappeared to. That shy, quiet, fellow amnesiac boy who had gazed at him with such adoration. Black flower petals everywhere. Mamoru knew he had been purposefully spared that day. He didn’t know why; no idea of why beyond that Shin had cared for him and Kunzite had only just been Shin.
Mamoru slammed the window shade down angrily. He didn’t want to remember those images again.
He ones on the backs of his eyelids, the ones of a world utterly destroyed, were worse, though.
