Techinically, this is the drabble for yesterday (Saturday). One thing it really reminded me of is my love of Aizen/Hinamori. I like evilbastard!Aizen. I also like evildork!Aizen, but that's a different matter. But... I really like Aizen/Hinamori fluff. I won't deny being a subscriber to the theory of him really being sweet on her (in his own sick, sick way) (I also believe him to be a firmly unreliable narrator).

Tousen was not much of an evangelist for the cause. He didn’t even try to recruit his own lieutenant.
Tousen knew he walked a dark path, as much as “dark” meant anything to him, and wished it on no one else, particularly not those he loved most. They would follow him, loyal friend Sajin and brave warrior Shuuhei, but he never tried to bring them, because he loved them. He never wanted to hurt them, but sometimes there had to be blood now for the path of least bloodshed to be achieved later. This was a path he must walk alone.
Gin was the one who suggested having Kira provide a distraction, should such a thing prove necessary. And if it was a distraction very far away, where the more information Kira knew the more likely he was to give something away, then what could be said of it? Gin flirted with everyone, from Aizen and Izuru and Ran to Byakuya and Zaraki Kenpachi. He never tried to convert anyone to “the cause” and he left Kira shattered. He never told the truth in his life.
In the end, he was glad that Ran had let go and little Izuru hadn’t made it up the hill after the distraction was done. Not that he had a heart or anything.
Aizen brought lots of people to the cause and tested out nearly every person of rank for the conspiracy. Heck, he even tried to persuade (seduce) Nemu. Boy was that a fiasco.
He used other mercilessly, including his own lieutenant with her sweet smile and complete trust in him. She always loved him and, according to proof gathered during the whole fiasco, loved him most. He smiled when she slept while he did paperwork and loved her when he stabbed her not-quite-fatally. Everything he did, everything he did to her, he did for her.
