“I’m not a motorboat!” Nagare yelled at her swimming instructor, spitting water.
“Kick like a frog then.”
“I not frog! I girl!” Her tantrum would have caused her to sink if not for the floaties on her two-year-old arms.
“Just kick like a little girl then.”
Nagare’s flails kicked up a lot of water, but did nothing to keep her afloat.
“Don’t worry, dear,” Ryo reassured his wife. “This is just a stage she’s going through. She’ll be a great Sailor Mercury someday.”
Ami nodded along, but, casting a glance at her daughter’s smoldering eyes glaring at the water that was too wet, she wondered.
