“How much do ya figure it’ll go for?”
“A whole lot unless we get a lot more ripped off than we’ve ever pulled on anyone.”
“I’ve got tea, boys.”
“You’re a dear, Green. How did you ever land a wife like that, Tyki?”
“My luck, charm, and rugged good looks.”
There was a sudden shriek and the sound of breaking china.
“Are you okay, Mommy?”
“Don’t touch that, dear; you’ll cut yourself.” The green-haired woman pulled herself together and pushed her daughter away from the broken cups.
“Are you alright?” The card sharks gathered round.
“Did you remember something?” Tyki asked, eyes unreadable through his super-thick glasses.
“No.” His wife smiled brightly but falsely. She turned away from the Exorcists’ coat thrown over a chair to find a broom and rag. “Still nothing.”
