“Honey?” he asked, pulling out his cell phone to push the cart one-handed, not to any worse results. “No, I remembered the list. But I was wondering, what brand of milk do you want? Whatever’s on sale?” Motoki studied the cooler. “What if the kind on sale is still more than the generic?
“Yes, dear.”
He went a few feet further. “Did you want more butter or margarine? Salted or unsalted? Hello? Hello? Makoto-chan? I guess the call must have been dropped.”
