I guess probably because its so close to home - Susie needed 4 bags of blood after giving birth to Belle.

I do really hate religion - it's just so bloody selfish >:-(

Blimey. That's terrible... I remember when I told my mum that I was pregnant with arthur, the first thing she said was that her blood type was the same and mine...which I thought was a really bizarre response, until I too needed transfusions and have a fairly rare blood type.

Having been in the situation twice, where blood donations have saved my life, I am exceedingly grateful to the wonderful people who have been brave and kind enough to give their blood so that I can be with my son today.
