Mohair aid

This is a plea to all my knitting friends - or friends who have knitting friends - do any of you have a couple of metres of white mohair in your stash which you can send to me? I want to try something out and it requires white mohair but I have failed miserably to find any round here.

Quite possibly! How white and how mohair must it be? Frex, would cream do? And are you looking purely for mohair, or mohairesque yarn?

I'll have a peep, anyway. Will get back to you on what I find.

Dandelion Clocks

Sorry to delay in getting back - not had access to a PC for the past few days. I would prefer white mohair because the reason I want it is because I am learning a number of new (to me) embroidery stitches, including twisted chain stitch ... worked in a circle ... and if I had white mohair this could make brilliant dandelion clocks. I've looked at the fluffy 'wools' in my local shops and none of them look right for such a 'creature' in the same way mohair would ... hence my plea for white mohair.

Right now I am off to finish a Florentine stitched cushion before I get back to my Elizabethan stitches homework.
