The mother lode - 4.17

Apr 19, 2009 11:17

I can not believe we all made it again. For me it has been 3 years, 6 long hiatuses, lots of dl crises or not, squeeing, anticipating, being angry, flailing, worried, sad, hopeful, caught up in this obsession, making awesome friends, irritated by bitter people who bitch about PB whenever possible, totally overwhelmed by the craziness and ( Read more... )

Oh, ffs, TPTB again don't know what to do with them?! *shakes them* Well I really hope they came up with something pretty good for what's left of the show!

Sorry, Mo, I just hadn't read about that MO interview, and it just hate it when they don't know where they're going, particularly with M/S.

Aaaanywho...thanks for this lovely review! Wise words all over. I particularly agree with this:

she is smart enough to know that but I have to say that I don't like it if this last forever. She is no doormat and she has needs too and he can not take her for granted

*nods* ITA, and I hope tptb have Michael realize this the way we know he should. Remind me again why aren't we the ones writing this show? *g*

I loved the non-lovey-dovey too and the subtle touches here and there. I do need me a good love scene between these too (come on, it's long overdue ;)) but I'm really grateful for that conversation they gave us. Loved it.

On to the next one, babe.

Hi Laura,
it just hate it when they don't know where they're going, particularly with M/S

It is unbelievable isn't it? I know Robert and William are the favorites (he was going on about them in the interview) but this is getting ridiculous. How about some good kissing and I can think about some conversation topics. I love the birdhouse one though and I think that some little gestures are down to them.
I hope that when Went is no longer under contract he will spill some beans.

If we were writing the show it would be wonderful but if Rosie (she is not here LOL) was writing, there would be hawt sex at every possible stop so that would be boring as well but I am starting to think we are all masochist. LOL

Next week bring it on though!!

LOLOL At least she would have added some spice to that back-o-the-truck scene ;) I wouldn't mind being 'bored' that way, I can tell you that!

I have to admit that my mind immediately went to The Bad Place when the guy said, "Get comfortable, it'll be eight hours until we stop again." Alas, canon never quite lives up to my imagination in these situations.

However.

The bird feeder kit conversation was made of WIN and so incredibly perfect that I want to squish whoever wrote it. And, of course, WM and SWC for doing it so nicely.

I had a conversation with some friends this week that IMO the writers love of certain actors (William and Robert) is a problem because I have the feeling that they love to write for them and it sometimes feels contrived to me and not really relevant to the plot. This is especially the case with T Bag, who is great but IMO always gets way too much screen time. I never can shake the feeling that the writers are not that keen on Went and Sarah so that is always in the back of my head.

Would that be me and my "Season Four - The Redemption of T-Bag" bitching? LOL.

YES. That would be that exact conversation. LOL

I KNOW. I was just perfect and they elevated that scene like they always do.

Linc was indeed great and he is underused so often (IMO another case of we don't know what to do with him you think? *facepalm*) so that was a nice surprise.

The birdhouse scene was terrific and it moved the plot forward, gave us a little background and also gave Michael the opportunity to bond with Sara again. I saw on TWoP that there was talk of Wentworth phoning it in and I was like WTF? I think, like you said, they were both great and I had the feeling that they were adding stuff.

MO (not me LOL) is just a loser and we thought Nick was an ass. I think MO is worse and I do agree that both WF and RK are great actors not only because they both are talented but they also have a lot of experience. They are sometimes a little too intense for my taste and I do think Went is also talented and I am much more a fan of his kind of understated acting and think he will get better with age. I also agree that he carries the show.

I am glad you are still enjoying it. Same time next week, you MiSa lover. LOL

it represents a part of fandom who now should move on to that Twilight thingy or some other mediocre romantic crap because, and maybe this is sounds very condescending, they are not getting this relationship and the day Michael will run on the beach in slo mo to fall into Sara's arms I will stop watching and deny I ever was a fan.Could not have said it better myself. Thank you for this. *g ( ... )

I think Sara sticking up for Linc is a good thing and will make the bond with Linc (as well as with Michael when his head is clear) even stronger and her more a part of the family. She is fair and not afraid to speak her mind and I love that she always does in in a soft spoken but very matter-of-fact way.

I hope Roos will hear our pleads. LOL

The real-time rewatch looked great Amy and you did a great job in setting that up. I will try to make it on Monday (my Tuesday) but I think it will be a bit too fast for me so you either get a lot of bad spelling or lots of: awwww, YES, NO, *dances* and maybe a squee. LOL

Yes, I LOVE her soft-spoken but assertive manner.

The rewatch went fast for all of us! Bad spelling squees, yes, omgs, etc are all allowed and even encouraged. ;)
