So, we're in Chicago safely, had adventures in travel - not with the flights, they were great, but with the waste veggie car we're borrowing.  Doubt we'll end up purchasing the car, seems like it needs too much work and I have no desire to tinker with cars, despite it's waste veggie wonderfulness

Yeah, I know what you mean about the drama. However, I have gotten to the point in my life where I avoid it where ever possible and anybody who needs to or wants to (yes, even that certain ex-roommate I kicked out) is more than welcome to talk to me. I just don't go out of my way to hunt people down.
