My mom called me yesterday at 5pm, saying she just got a new car and was departing Long Island at the moment to visit Syracuse U. with my sister. She asked if she could briefly visit me on the way.
I said NO. Don't even think about it.  She knows where I live, so I made sure to mention that the apartment entrances are locked.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation, but there's nothing to be ashamed of for the way you're choosing to go about it, if you were feeling at all ashamed, that is. Some people are just impossible to forgive; leaving them be is really the only solution. Driving to the middle of a forest, throwing them out of a car, and driving off is also another solution I've found to be quite effective, but to each his own.

Hope all is well. When are you graduating, btw?

that's right, I found that with all of the people I've encountered with similar characterstics to my mom, leaving them be is the best solution.
I'm graduating next year!
