Fuck You, Registrar. Fuck You.

This afternoon I get a missed call from an "unknown" number, with a message attached. I knew who it was from when I saw it. I listened to the message, and had almost sheer disbelief. He told me that there was a problem with my transcript from UMF, and that I need to call him, and perhaps the school. As soon as I got the message, I called him back.

There have been quite a few shut off from grad school and job opportunities. Dr. Oroz had a rant about it during my New Imperialism Final because the registrar had fucked our class over as far as a place to actually sit down and have a final, so he complained about it for a bit of time.
They took forever to give us our diplomas and transcripts....Nick's school had a week between end of classes and finals. During that week the registrar's office got off their asses and prepared all the Seniors degrees and transcripts. Nick had his diploma when he marched.

What I love is that the letter you get with your diploma says that we'll get a notice sometime over the summer saying we've completed all graduation requirements, but that we'll receive our diplomas and unofficial transcripts 8-10 weeks after that point. Once again, 8-10 weeks AFTER receiving that notification. I mean, really, how much time does it take?

With that, in trying to get my diploma/transcripts, I called the Registrar's Office SEVERAL times. 1st time, they said they were willing to work with me, but could make no promises. 2nd time (like 1.5 weeks later), the lady I talked to told me they were still processing May graduates, and would not get to summer graduates for another couple of weeks. Really now, how much time does it take to OK grades? ... the other people I talked to also had mixed answers.

Basically... I love the Registrar.
