Day Zero Project

Apr 04, 2011 21:07

So, I feel inspired to start the 101 Things in 1001 Days project. In fact I'm starting today because 1001 days from now is December 31st 2013 and that's too good to pass up.

(I'm stealing the idea and the date from karohi - thanks!)

I've not quite reached 101 things but I feel that if I start adding more to the list just to fill it up then they won't ( Read more... )

I was trying to look for this the other day because I thought it would be something really good to do! Yet I couldn't for the life of me find anything.
& here you come along and give me what it was I was looking for. So I think I'm going to have to quickly do something in the next hour so I can post and steal your date as well!

See, if you were still on Facebook you'd have seen me post about it several times recently!

You can upload your list on the "official" website, http://dayzeroproject.com/. I have an account there under purpleperson. There's also lots of inspiration to help you make your list!

I saw the website, some of the ideas on there are a bit naff. I hope I can come up with 101!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I refused to add things like 'dance in the rain' and steered VERY clear from bizarre things like 'have a baby' or 'get married'. Like, really??

You don't have to start until the 5th - unless you've posted this tonight in anticipation of starting tomorrow? I can't get logged in STILL but I need to launch my list! EEK :(

For some reason, the day zero website calculated the start day as today and the end date as Dec 31st - is there a leap year or something that it's missing out?

What a good idea, and I really like your list - good luck with it! I'm impressed at how ambitious your goals are (and "travel first class on a train" is one I'm tempted to adopt - it always looks so nice compared to standard class).

I'd really like to add "travel first class on a plane" but I doubt I'll be able to afford that in the next 1001 days, so a train will have to do for now! Preferably on a nice long voyage.

Ambitious, but hopefully achievable...

try to book in advance, sometimes you can get very good bargains. My first (and only so far) trip in first class was an advance purchase find and it made a lovely birthday treat.

Good luck with your list!
