Actually, almost any Revolutionary Texan regiment comprised roughly 15-20% men of "Mexican" origin. This tends to blur the line when one attempts to justify any sort of racial justification to the current issue of illegal immigration confronting our citizenry. It was not simply a "brown vs. white' conflict as previously thought, much to the chagrin of certain groups and peoples. Many people seem to forget about many British colonial subjects fighting against the crown alongside Hitler's armed forces. One could, almost mockingly, claim that World War II was a war against British Imperialism in the eyes of those under dominion of the Empire. The interpretation is up to you, I suppose.
