... you'd know that I read manga with glee. Excited and giddy to get to the next panel or the next page that I can't sit still. Ever so rarely, THAT happens when I read novels. In this case, The Da Vinci Code. It starts off really intriguing, mystery builds up even as answers are gained. The one you least suspect is the mastermind, yet he makes it easy for all of them to be the culprit. Glad to say I see some of them coming. Like APPLE. I was screaming APPLE 5 pages before they confirmed it. And how astonishing it is for Dan Brown to fuse fiction and fact together that you become lost in clarifying which one in actual is true, and which are pure fiction.
A bit disappointing is, how it is implied that the Priory of Sion is compromised, but there's no actual account retelling of how he discovered the Grand Master and the three senechaux's true identities, unless I somehow missed the part. I always thought Da Vinci's art is dark, eerie, and somewhat morbid. The reason I like this book is more for the arts and history than everything else. Nana's not quite that kind, she's not fascinated by these. I guess that's why she didn't really like the book.
Now I'm most interested to see the things they say are obvious on Da Vinci's art as well as the little little clues that he includes in his art. Maybe I should Google it. like now.
