Icon Tutorial -- #2 -- Charlie - Lost

Image-heavy. Not friendly for dial-up users (because I feel like being mean. mwhaha)
Made im PSP 9 -- hopefully compadible.

We're going from this to



Open your base image (like this one) and crop it to 100x100 pixels.

Duplicate the base. Sharpen and set it to Screen 100%.

Duplicate the base layer again. Pull the second duplicate so that it is above the first. Sharpen and set it to Overylay 100%.

Duplicate the base layer again and pull it over the first and second duplicates. Set to Screen 50%.

New raster (1), make sure it is above all the rest of the layers. Flood fill with
(#cbbc9f). Set to Multiply 80%.

New raster (2). Flood fill with
(gradient made by me). Set to Multiply 60%.

New Raster (3). Flood fill with
(#f3f5c7). Set it to Multiply 75%.

New Raster (4). Flood fill with white (#FFFFFF) and set it to Burn 45%.

New Raster (5). Flood fill with
(#4b7690). Set it to Soft Light 70%.

New Raster (6). Flood fill with
(gradient made by me.) Set it to Color (L) 35%.

New Raster (7). Flood fill with
(gradient made by me). Set to Multiply 60%.

New Raster (8). Flood fill with
(I have no idea who made this. I think it might have come with the psp, iono.) Set it to Overlay 20%.

Erase his face & body from raster 8.

New raster (9). Flood fill with
(by julilli). Set to Overlay 70%.

New Raster (10). Use rectangular selection tool and create a selection at the bottom of the icon.
. Flood fill with black (#000000). Selections >> Select None.

New Vector layer (1). Add text. I used the font Chromosome Heavy. Set it to Normal 80%.
Merge/Flatten all layers.
Duplicate flattened image. Sharpen and leave at Normal. Set the opacity on 60%.
Merge/Flatten all layers again.
Save.
