brilliant and lucid post. never saw the link between the two, but it's an interesting parallel.

the gates/clinton foundation does have documents that spell out an actionable plans, but they tend to hundreds of pages and thus completely useless. seems like a interesting approach is to delve deeper into those documents and tease out the three or four items that gets the dev world 80% there.

that of course takes time and energy and more time, but i can't really see alternatives to that approach. it is only in suffering that we find enlightenment...
