Why today was terrible and tomorrow must be better- I deposited my check at 4:30pm on Thursday, as opposed to 4pm, so as a result, 3 checks ended up bouncing. I was charged $96 in fees that I didn't have to be wasting

I'm sorry the bank fucked you over. It's happened to me before too.
As far as your parents, you know, at least you cried. It's better to get all your emotions out right away rather than just acting tough and pretending everything is okay. To put it simply, it SUCKS...I swear things will get better again though.
