Fuck. You. Okay? I have had to listen to all my friends bitch and moan about how much they hated it and how they ruined it all the way back from the theater. You're welcome to hate it just as much as they do, but don't tell me that like I'm ignorant for liking one fucking movie. And yes, I am very pissed off and over-reacting, I know.
I apologize for snapping at you, I was still very irritated when I wrote that reply and took it out on the wrong person.
The only things I know about film are things I've heard, and then it's more of a business minded standpoint. As huge as the fanbase is for Harry Potter, they still had to make a movie that the non-fans and people who haven't read the books can enjoy. Goblet of Fire was one of those books that was just too complicated and too big to make a smooth translation to film. Things /had/ to be cut, because only the die hard fans would watch a four hour movie that had every little detail from the books in it, and they won't make money that way.
And I should be making this a formal LJ review post. x_x But anyway, I don't know much about cinematography so I can't say if it was good or bad, just that I enjoyed it. However, I will agree that PoA was a bad adaption, even from the standpoint of trying to make it appeal to non-fans as well. I do think that GoF did a better job than PoA though.
Wuu, I will not get to see it for a while yet. I'm pretty much convinced that I'm going to like it better than PoA. Why? Well, two major reasons: 1) My favorite part of the book made it into the movie, and 2) Snape's lovely "drive-by-slapping" moment that I keep seeing in the making of thingums.
Oh, I know you'll like it better than PoA. It was /funny/ up until the maze and stuff at the end. I don't remember laughing so much during any of the other movies.
The only bit that was left out that I was sorry they did was Rita Skeeter getting 'outed' by Hermione, because the actress they have playing Rita is perfect and she needed more scenes.
