Rubedo abandoned Albedo before Albedo arrived here, and his brother--fifteen years gone--did little to withdraw that outlook by his own actions and words. In fact, relations worsened on night 43, when Junior told Albedo his problems were his own fault, and continued the next night, when his twin was so eager to put him down when Albedo was on S-C. Due to these events and others, Albedo finally confronts Rubedo about his actions, to which the middle Variant learns some of the years and actions now separating them. That Rubedo kills him seems the biggest shock. Soon after this, Rubedo takes to seemingly avoiding his siblings, and when he vanishes night 48, it's a wonder if it's a relief or a further fracture.
And day 52, Rubedo returns. To what end, it hasn't been determined.

Nigredo is his brother. This is an encompassing fact; enough to stay a hand from murder when one was intent on it. Enough to move to for comfort without realizing; enough to reach for in tears. Even when used as an excuse, to focus on when looking the other way was too painful, this was never denied. They are brothers, and there is more meaning in that than anything else.
Lately, things have been convoluted, with outside influence and miscued emotions. Nigredo has shown in clear ways his own care for Albedo and need to not be alone, and Albedo himself has vowed not to harm Nigredo. Things become worse with Nigredo's warm and cold nature, and Albedo does not react well to unknown variables in care. Especially after reaching out and seemingly being turned away. Albedo's moves regarding Nigredo depend solely on his brother's next actions.

These two did not interact overtly, but in the few times they did, Albedo bonded more than he ever had to a stranger. Between their similarities and differences, Albedo found comfort, and from his own past, Angel knew more on how to handle one deeply broken. From the words said, to the gifts given, to the things left unspoken, Angel is the only person Albedo has willingly called friend in his mind. And the boy deeply mourns his loss.

For one who takes the board no more seriously than he does its viewers, Albedo would not have expected to find one so well-knowledged and curious. From this one's pursuits to knowledge to intelligent answers and astute questions, Albedo became curious in the one who responded to him almost daily. When they met, it came as a shock that he was as old as Albedo himself, and more--lived through the death of a brother. It's safe to say that Albedo has a platonic crush on Ritsuka, and isn't quite sure how to go about interacting with him.

On his first night, Albedo met Meche on S-C, and got the pleasure of being shot with plants. The next day, she explained some things before he ran off to attack his siblings, and his view of her slightly increased. It was again change when they met in the chapel, and the woman actually tried to comfort him, despite his past actions. To add, she hardly blinked at his regeneration, and so she moved from mundane to interesting. She is not someone disliked.

For one forced to room with another, there could have been worse than Hikaru. Albedo was won over quickly, with gifts and desserts, and then with the revelation of Hikaru being a twin as well. The similarities, and the sense that another understood were something Albedo was allowed comfort from. This, like other things that went well, lasted not long at all.

She instantly became fun, and he wants to play with her again.

This man. If he wasn't so fun to play with, he would be on the hated list. Klavier has a tendency, much like another, to touch and force his inclinations on Albedo. With that alone, Albedo despises the man--his actions and his arrogance. But Klavier became more interesting with more details.
The man is a sibling. A sibling who abandoned his own. Because it was deemed as right. Necessary. And for this... Albedo became locked onto the man. More than he had previously. Klavier had already been deduced as one who lacked in reality--only saw his own beliefs without any other sight--and already Albedo had charged himself with showing Klavier true reality. This added fact... only placed Klavier as something more to obsess over in Albedo's mind. Something to break apart and learn its insides.
And Klavier is Nigredo's friend. For that, Klavier is deemed a pet, and Albedo himself has to move a bit more carefully.
