Basically, a word prompt for a 100-200 word drabbles under the cut, all Chloe/Rush related.
Prompt: Question
Characters: Chloe/Rush, Lt. Scott, Sen. Armstrong
Summary: It's Chloe's birthday.
“…Wow,” Matthew Scott breathed loudly as he took in the large calendar now adorning the room he shared with Chloe, the writing very precise - details on Chloe’s father’s death and her general condition after her sickness was cured and during were also noted carefully, finally down to today’s date - her birthdate. Scott hadn’t even asked when her birthday was, so who knew more about her than he?
“So, hey.” Chloe plopped down next to Rush in the mess hall, and he brought his attention to her immediately, smiling slightly.
“…Why do you pay me so much mind?”
“Your father would have wanted someone to. ...Happy Birthday," he added roughly, rising and hiding his face behind his hair - Chloe assumed because of embarrassment purposes.
"...Thank you." She whispered, slightly shocked, to the space he once occupied.

Prompt: Smile
Characters: Chloe/Rush, Lt. Scott, Dr. Volker
Summary: Chloe makes Rush laugh. (I promise I don't hate Scott.) ;__;
“I swear, don’t say a word, seriously, but sometimes he makes me feel like I’m in the boonies,” Chloe giggled as she thought about Matthew Scott, her boyfriend, and his slightly Southern drawl as she addressed Dr. Rush whilst working on the bridge one day.
Dr. Rush couldn’t help but smile at that remark, and he immediately felt a presence at his side.
“You smiled!” She sounded so delighted; he couldn’t help but grin a little more.
“So, in order to make the great Nicholas Rush smile, I just have to…?”
“Keep making fun of people aboard.”
“So, Volker’s got this weird thing…” Chloe spread her arms out and did weird penguin-like waddle across the bridge...
Needless to say, it was a good day.

Prompt: Night
Characters: Chloe/Rush, Sen. Armstrong, Gloria Rush
Summary: Chloe remembers her father while Rush remembers his wife.
“You’re up late,” he noted, walking onto the Observatory with a fresh cup of something that was in the pretend-mode of being coffee as he took a seat on the bench next to her.
“My dad and I…used to sit together and look at the stars. I…miss him.” She turned to Rush and smiled sadly, and he nodded in understanding.
“My wife liked to watch doves,” he added awkwardly, not used to social graces, although he received a smile in return.
“Want to watch the stars with me? They’re so pretty at night, I couldn’t resist…”
Nodding, he wondered if they’d ever find a planet with doves - he'd be sure to show her, if they did.

Prompt: Outdoors
Characters: Chloe/Rush
Summary: Chloe and Rush enjoy an beautiful planet.
“Is it that nice?” Dr. Nicholas Rush threw a question to Chloe Armstrong as she stood in the down-pour of rain, her hands outstretched and her head tilted upward.
“I haven’t been off-world in a bit, thanks to the Pathogen,” she yelled back, over the downpour.
He walked away from his scientific gear for a moment and motioned for her to follow him, both of them drenched now.
“Whoa…” They stood atop a beautiful hill that showed the planets vast valleys and waterfalls.
“You could have just told me where it was,” she noted after a moment’s silence, and he shook his head, causing water to hit her from his hair.
“Then I wouldn’t have seen your expression.” He replied simply, and with that, they both took a moment to enjoy the view.

Prompt: Author's Choice
Characters: Chloe/Rush, Amanda Perry, Ginn
Summary: Spoilers for 2.15 - Seizure. Chloe's reaction to Rush's time in the chair with Perry.
She hadn’t been this angry since her father’s death, and she was quite sure she could slam into him again if necessary, kicking and screaming, except this time, it was a little more personal.
“Chloe?” He was surprised when he opened the door to his quarters and saw her sitting there on his bed, looking annoyed.
“The neural interface chair, Nicholas. I risked my life and my own consciousness to keep those two girls safe, and you have quite possibly ruined it.”
“Chloe…there was a reason-“
“You love her. I know. I get it, now, okay? I know you didn’t mean it, but it happened.” She shoved past him while saying so, but he quickly grabbed her, pulling her into a hug, and she was shocked when she felt his body slump against her own a little.
“I’m sorry,” she choked, guiltily feeling his sadness in their embrace.
“You’ve nothing to be sorry for.”
“Nicholas…” Despite every fiber of her being screaming at her not to get involved anymore, she found her hand wrapping around his back in comfort.

Prompt: Groovy
Characters: Chloe/Rush, TJ
Summary: Chloe, Rush, and TJ eat some interesting fruit on a regular mission down to a planet that has some consequences on the way back to the ship.
The shuttle dipped slightly as TJ attempted to keep control - she had offered to fly after Chloe had begged her for some girl time, although she was having trouble seeing the dials in front of her. She had tested the fruit they had eaten, and it checked out well enough…but she knew that double dials was never a good thing.
“Hey, you two okay back there?” She managed to call out distorted words to Chloe and Nicholas Rush, the latter apparently also needed some fresh air.
“Hee, and then I was like ‘say WHAAAAAAAAAT?’” Chloe stood up, putting her hands to both of her cheeks in shock, as Rush burst into giggles lying on the ground, clutching his stomach.
“We need more fruit!” Rush yelled from the ground, and Chloe went to grab some, promptly tripping over his body on the floor and falling flat on her face.
“Ow, haha!”
“You…fell…so quickly…like FTL drives burning out…of the sky…of my beautiful Destiny…”
“You’re so weeeeird, Nick,” Chloe whispered, poking him in the side of the head whilst giggling still.
“…Right.” TJ affirmed, attempting to keep control over the shuttle just enough to land, and then she fell over and began snoring at the console.

Prompt: Family
Characters: Chloe/Rush, Sen. Armstrong
Summary: Chloe relives her father's death on the one-year anniversary.
It was so sudden that she had barely had time to catch her breath, but it hit her. She had been avoidant of people all day, hoping that they wouldn’t recall - but who would? It was just really her own memory, and nobody else had to concern themselves with it.
Unable to take anymore, she fell against a bulkhead in an isolated hallway, allowing the coolness to caress her cheek as she thought about her father, and she slowly put her arms around herself in a hugging motion.
“Daddy…” she sobbed, cradling herself.
Nicholas Rush stood at the edge of the hallway, having almost called out to her as he also remembered the date - a day he would never forget, nor forgive himself for. He had sewn together a small teddy bear over the past few months, very sneakily grabbing at supplies when nobody was around - but upon hearing her sobs, he was unable to do a thing, except listen.
“Daddy…I miss you so much…”
Now, it was his turn to lean his head against the bulkhead, and he closed his eyes, feeling as though this was his punishment, and took it.

Prompt: Sweet
Characters: Chloe/Rush, Mr. Brody
Summary: It's Valentine's Day on Destiny, but as per usual, Rush can't face emotional stuff head-on, so he goes quite round-a-bout in getting Chloe a present.
“So, uh. Hey, Chloe! Happy Valentine’s Day, and all that. Here’s some stuff that almost tastes like chocolate.” Brody quickly thrust a lovely hand-crafted box of what looked like chocolates at her, all the while looking at the floor.
“…Oh. Um. Thank you, Mr. Brody.” Chloe nodded awkwardly and took the chocolates, confused as Brody quickly ran off, cursing under his breath.
The rest of the day went normally, although Brody refused to look at her, which caused working to be a little awkward. Later, she walked towards the still-area, looking for a good drink, when she over-heard Brody complaining loudly to someone else.
“That was the most awkward thing I’ve ever had to do, seriously! So, I get your month of alcohol, right? I mean, I did this for something, right? Yeah!?” He was stammering of embarrassment, and Chloe listened intently, curious as to who her secret admirer was.
“As we agreed, a month’s worth of alcohol, and not a bloody word to anyone, especially her.”
Shock enveloped her as she overheard the voice of one, Nicholas Rush, who obviously had crafted the box and the almost chocolate-y things for her, whereas nobody else had bothered. Now it was her turn to be flooded with embarrassment as she wobbled slowly all flushed back to her quarters.

Prompt: Opposite
Characters: Chloe/Rush, Mr. Brody, Eli, TJ
Summary: Chloe and Rush get drunk and play a little game...
Rush and Chloe sat across from each other in the mess, drinking it up with everyone else, celebrating that the Lucien Alliance attack on Earth had been thwarted.
“Yeah, yeah, more of that…” Rush motioned for Brody to pour another shot, and Chloe did the same. They were both intently (as intent as one can be when intoxicated) playing a game of “press the shiny button on this panel before it disappears” - aka, nobody had a chance to name it yet, but it almost seemed to be like ‘Simon Says’ and yet, somehow with strategy.
Chloe hit a button directly at Rush’s side, to which he hit a button on the far left. This continued for a few minutes until they finally started both mashing at the same button, completely drunk.
“No, no, you can’t…hit this one…this is mine…” Chloe whined, trying to pry his hand from hers.
“You’re such…a brat….get off of my spot, little lady…” Rush pushed her hand from his, and Chloe immediately slammed her hand back down on the button, causing his hand to throb.
“I’ve never met a woman more disagreeable,” Rush managed to slur as he looked at his reddening hand.
“Nor have I met a man so insanely delusional that the world revolves around him…with soft hands.” The last part slipped out in a drunken stupor, and the moment became thick as they simply stared at one another, hands embraced over the silly game. The moment was interrupted however, when Eli came over, face bright red with drunken fun, and plopped directly on the table, sitting on all of the buttons, and their hands.
“Hey guys! Guess what? I am ‘here’ - hee!” He was motioning towards his shirt as if nobody had seen it before.
The console shrieked loudly in distress from his weight, and Chloe and Rush each ran to the infirmary where TJ was already treating other drunken related wounds and shook her head as they wobbled in together, Chloe pushing Rush off of her, insisting loudly that she could walk, and then promptly fell over, causing the scientist to burst into giggles before he fell, too.
