Full disclosure: I was quoting someone else at the time. And I was writing a paper about a book we read in my Canadian Lit class that starts with a ten-year-old boy getting raped by a carny and sort of goes downhill from there. Canadians: not nearly as cuddly as most Americans seem to think ^_^
