Why oh why is my baby playing hide and seek mind games with me?  I tried to NOT be the hysterical pregnant lady by ignoring that I haven't really felt her moving around since Tuesday, but this morning I gave into full fledged panic and called my OB, who suggested I go to the hospital, which just freaked me out even more.  Because her office doesn't ( Read more... )

Hey, did they tell you about drinking a bunch of juice and laying on your side to kickstart the movement? That worked for me when I couldn't feel anything and I was nervous. I don't know how true this is -- but I think when you're a big girl, like us, you don't feel as much as the skinny folk. Near the end I was super nervous and we bought one of those at home baby heartbeat things. Well, I was too fat for the stupid thing to find the heartbeat so that made me EVEN WORSE! Ah well -- generally I felt Ean at night when I was going to bed. I started to feel him at 20 weeks or so but never really felt him consistently until way later. It does make sense that if your placenta is up front that you won't feel much because it's in the way. Hang in there -- and feel free to go the hospital as often as you like!! You're pregnant and you're allowed to!
