Nixon was the President when I was born. Ford was the President when I was a young child. However, Carter is the first President that I have any memory of. I turned 6 during his first year in office. I forgot how long ago I made my guess that Obama would be the next president, but it was long before all the contenders had even entered the arena. That blip feeling is a familiar feeling to me but it has been for most of my life. It doesn't matter where I live.

I could not genuinely bestow my vote to either candidate because neither could not go a week without lying about the other. There is no law against it. It is clear to me that they fail me on even the most simple of levels. I could never give my vote to someone who would do something because they knew they could get away with it. Civic duty be damned.
