My car wouldn't start today at lunch so I missed class.  I finally got it started and it's at the mechanic.  I really don't want to dump more money into this.  It's not worth it.  I am so tired of worrying about things like this.  Like if we fix my car, will we have enough money to pay our mortgage?  I am just so stressed out about everything I

I completely understand where you're coming from. I hope the stress will ease, your car will be fixed cheaply, and that you receive a sudden windfall of money you weren't expecting.
