I got sick. The second I decide it is time to get down to business my throat closes up, can't stop coughing and sneezing. This feels like bad Cedar Fever, but I think its too early for that? Maybe it is just cooties.

Leo and I went and saw No Country for Old Men last night. I had heard good things about it, but really hadn't read much about it and wasn't prepared for the level of violence. I finally got the last draft of my prospectus back from my adviser and besides a few nit-picky points she said it is ready to go!

I am so fucking relieved.

Now I just have to hear back from my other adviser (she may be tough but she is much less insulting).

Sometimes when you dare ask the universe for what you really need, you get it.

My adviser still has not had time to read my prospectus (this it the problem with my adviser being head of the department), BUT she said I can go ahead and schedule the prospectus exam for the end of the semester. This means that she at least feels like my project is solid enough to move ahead and that whatever objections/feedback/head kicking she ( Read more... )

Alice (the dog) graduated from Basic Obedience tonight. And she came in Third in her class! Considering we never practiced, she rocked the house!

I took a cheap straw hat and made a bonnet for my Halloween costume. I am totally in love with my bonnet.
