I woke this morning to the news that possibly Caroline Kennedy will be appointed by NY Governor Paterson to replace Hillary Clinton as the next Senator from the State of New York.

Right, RFK was a NY Senator from '65 until his assassination in '68. JFK had served in the Senate from Massachusettes from '53-'60. So, with the exception of the couple of years until Ted kennedy was elected in '62, there has been a Kennedy in the US Senate for some 55 years running.
